NIT Trichy has released a notification for 1 Project Assistant position under a research project titled "GGBS based Composite Cement Applications: Hydration Mechanisms and Material Solutions," funded by India Cements Limited. The project is led by Dr. Greegar George, Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering.

GGBS, or Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag, is a byproduct of the steel industry that is increasingly used as a partial substitute for ordinary cement. Studying its hydration mechanism helps engineers design more durable and eco-friendly composite cement mixes. This role is ideal for Chemistry postgraduates interested in materials science and laboratory-based research, since the job involves conducting laboratory tests on composite cement samples, compiling the results, and preparing reports and presentations for the project team.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's degree in Chemistry from a recognized university (candidates whose results are awaited can also apply)
• Job Role: Conducting laboratory tests, compiling results, and preparing project reports and presentations
• Experience: Prior research or industrial experience is a plus, though not compulsory

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam. Selection is based on:
