National Institute of Technology Mizoram (NIT Mizoram) has released Advt. No. NITMZ/R-2-17/TF/2026/1263 dated 19 June 2026. The institute is an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and it runs UG, PG and Ph.D. programmes in engineering disciplines. This notice covers one Temporary Faculty post each in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

The engagement is temporary and is meant for teaching-focused academic work with research potential. The first appointment is for one semester, and it may be extended by one more semester at a time after performance review, up to a maximum of 5 semesters with the required break in service. The notice clearly says that temporary faculty will not get any claim for permanent appointment against regular posts.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

NIT Mizoram has not announced a written test for this Temporary Faculty recruitment. The notice says that shortlisted applicants will be called for a hybrid-mode interview at NIT Mizoram, and the list of shortlisted applicants will be displayed on the institute website.

1. Application scrutiny: The institute will check the application form and self-attested supporting documents.
2. Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum qualification does not automatically give a call for interview, so the institute can shortlist based on academic record and requirement.
3. Document verification: Marksheets, certificates, experience proof, category certificate and other claims can be verified before or during engagement.
4. Hybrid interview: Shortlisted applicants will attend the interview in hybrid mode as notified by NIT Mizoram.
5. Final decision: The decision of NIT Mizoram in the engagement process will be final.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the presentation or interview. If you are serving in a government, semi-government, PSU, university or educational institution, you should apply through proper channel or produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.

6. Make sure your complete application reaches the institute on or before 10 July 2026.
