The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is hiring for Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS) and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) posts across central government offices. - You also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per central government rules.
Physical Standards (Havaldar Posts)
Candidates applying for Havaldar posts must clear a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and a Physical Standard Test (PST) after qualifying the written exam.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Walking and cycling tasks to test endurance and fitness (separate standards for male and female candidates).
Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Height, chest (for male candidates) and weight measurements as per the standards given in the notification.

Selection Process
The selection is done in these stages:

Responsibilities
- Handle routine office tasks like carrying files and delivering documents
- Keep the office and records clean and well organised
- Assist officers and staff with day-to-day work
- Deliver dak (mail) and maintain movement registers
- Handle guarding, patrolling and physical duties at Customs and Narcotics posts (Havaldar)
- Assist in loading, unloading and safe custody of seized goods (Havaldar)
- Follow instructions given by senior officers and maintain discipline
