SSC MTS & Havaldar 2026 notification is still awaited. SSC's annual calendar had planned the notification for 30 June 2026 with applications until 31 July 2026, but that window passed without a release. The Computer Based Examination is tentatively slated for September–November 2026; vacancies will be confirmed in the official notification.
SSC MTS & Havaldar 2026 — Notification Awaited
The Staff Selection Commission has not yet released the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff & Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2026 notification. SSC's annual calendar (published 12 January 2026) had planned the notification for 30 June 2026 with an application window running to 31 July 2026, but that planned window passed without a release. This page will be updated as soon as the official notification is out.

About SSC MTS & Havaldar
SSC MTS recruits Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff in General Central Service Group C posts across central government ministries, departments and offices. The Havaldar posts are in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN). Eligibility in recent cycles has been Matriculation (10th pass), with age limits of 18–25 years for most MTS posts and 18–27 years for some MTS posts and Havaldar.

- Assist officers and staff with day-to-day work
- Deliver dak (mail) and maintain movement registers
- Handle guarding, patrolling and physical duties at Customs and Narcotics posts (Havaldar)
- Assist in loading, unloading and safe custody of seized goods (Havaldar)
- Follow instructions given by senior officers and maintain discipline

परीक्षा पैटर्न
The Computer-Based Test (CBT) is an objective online exam covering Reasoning, General Awareness, English and Quantitative Aptitude. Each correct answer gives 1 mark with 0.25 negative marking. Havaldar candidates must also clear the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) after the CBT.

You must have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) from a recognised board. The age limit is 18 to 25 years for MTS and 18 to 27 years for Havaldar, with relaxation for reserved categories.
Go to the official website ssc.gov.in, complete your One-Time Registration (OTR), fill the online application form, upload your photo and signature, pay the fee if applicable, and submit.
You get a salary under Pay Level 1, with an in-hand pay of about Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 22,000 per month plus DA, HRA and other allowances.
The fee is Rs. 100 for General/OBC/EWS candidates. SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen and all women candidates pay no fee.
