Service Conditions and Caveats

• Mixed appointment routes: the Registrar may be appointed on tenure through deputation, short-term contract or direct recruitment, while the Superintending Engineer is a deputation or short-term-contract post. The Technical Officer is a direct-recruitment role.
• Tenure: the Registrar's term is limited by the notified tenure condition. The Superintending Engineer starts with a fixed deputation term that may be extended after satisfactory performance and approval.
• Probation: the Technical Officer carries one year of probation.
• Vacancy position: IIT Goa can leave a post unfilled or use the process for a consequential opening. The final number appointed can therefore change.
