Post-wise Duties

Technical Manager Electrical and Electronics

You will handle assignments related to steelmaking, automation, energy audits, power-system studies and maintenance. The role also covers measurement and verification audits, safety inspection, skill development and technical consultancy for industry-facing work.

Technical Assistant to Director

You will provide secretarial and technical coordination support to the Director, including correspondence, meeting arrangements, draft minutes, records and presentations. You will also coordinate with institute teams and external organisations.

Assistant Personnel and Administration

You will support the personnel and administration function through office drafting, records, communication and day-to-day administrative work. The post needs someone comfortable with common office software and structured documentation.

Assistant Technical Division

You will manage technical documentation, data entry, report preparation and office coordination for the division. Clear communication and reliable computer-based record work are important to the role.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: The initial engagement is arranged as a three-year term in a one-plus-two-year pattern and may be extended for another three years. The first year is probation.
• No regularisation claim: These posts are purely temporary and contractual. Appointment does not give you a right to absorption against a regular NISST position.
• Posting liability: The base location is Mandi Gobindgarh, but selected personnel can be asked to serve anywhere in India.
• Insurance: NISST provides medical and accidental insurance to engaged personnel.
• Interview travel: Shortlisted candidates may receive travel reimbursement at the class of rail or bus fare specified for their post and by the shortest route.
