National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur has released Vacancy Notification No. 1/2026 for 49 posts to be filled through direct recruitment, deputation or short-term contract. Of these, 39 posts are at NIA Panchkula (the extension centre) and 10 posts are at NIA Jaipur. The recruitment covers both teaching (faculty) and non-teaching roles in Ayurveda and allied areas. Who Can Apply?

For Teaching Posts (Professor / Associate / Assistant Professor)

• Post-Graduate Degree in Ayurveda in the concerned subject recognised under IMCC Act 1970 / NCISM Act 2020
• Professor: 15 years teaching experience + 10 research publications. Associate Professor: 10 years + 7 publications. Assistant Professor: PG degree + 3 publications
• If you are not already a teacher in an Ayurvedic college, you must have cleared NTET

For Medical & Healthcare Posts

• Medical Officer: MD/MS (Ayurved) in the relevant subject
• Panchakarma Vaidya: MD (Ayurveda) in Panchakarma
• Radiologist: MD in Radiology, or MBBS & DNB Radiology with 2 years experience + NMC and AERB/ELORA registration
• Nursing Officer (Ayurveda): B.Sc Nursing (Ayush) or Diploma in Ayush Nursing & Pharmacy with registration

For Non-Teaching Posts

• Deputy Director (Admn. & Finance): By deputation — Central/State Govt officers in analogous posts or Pay Level 10 with 3 years experience
• Accountant: B.Com or MBA in Financial Management or Chartered Accountant
• Librarian: Bachelor's degree in Library & Information Science + 2 years experience
• Junior Translation Officer: Master's degree with Hindi/English combination + translation diploma or experience
• Pharmacist: 12th pass + Diploma in Ayush Nursing & Pharmacy / B.Pharma (Ayurved)

Age Limit

• Professor: up to 55 years; Associate Professor: up to 50 years; Assistant Professor / Medical Officer / Panchakarma Vaidya / Radiologist: up to 40 years
• Accountant / Nursing Officer / Jr. Translation Officer / Pharmacist: up to 30 years; Librarian: up to 35 years; Deputy Director (deputation): up to 56 years
• Age is calculated as on the closing date, 20 June 2026
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and Central/State govt employees, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PH candidates, as per Government of India rules

Salary

• Professor (Level 13): Rs. 1,23,100 - Rs. 2,15,900 per month
• Associate Professor (Level 12): Rs. 78,800 - Rs. 2,09,200 per month
• Assistant Professor / Medical Officer / Panchakarma Vaidya / Radiologist (Level 10): Rs. 56,100 - Rs. 1,77,500 per month
• Deputy Director (Level 11): Rs. 67,700 - Rs. 2,08,700 per month
• Accountant / Jr. Translation Officer (Level 6): Rs. 35,400 - Rs. 1,12,400 per month
• Nursing Officer / Librarian (Level 7): Rs. 44,900 - Rs. 1,42,400 per month
• Pharmacist (Level 5): Rs. 29,200 - Rs. 92,300 per month
• Plus NPA (for medical posts) and other allowances as per Government of India rules

Application Fee

• Professor & Associate Professor — General/OBC: Rs. 5,000, SC/ST/EWS: Rs. 4,500
• Assistant Professor, Deputy Director, Medical Officer, Panchakarma Vaidya & Radiologist — General/OBC: Rs. 4,000, SC/ST/EWS: Rs. 3,500
• Nursing Officer, Librarian, Accountant, Jr. Translation Officer & Pharmacist — General/OBC: Rs. 3,000, SC/ST/EWS: Rs. 2,500
• PH and Ex-Servicemen candidates: No fee
• A separate application and fee is required for each post

Selection Process

Depending on the number of applicants, the institute will shortlist candidates as follows:

1. Preliminary Test: Conducted if there are many applicants for a post
2. Mains Examination: For further shortlisting where required
3. Interview: Final selection for shortlisted candidates
4. Document Verification: Original certificates checked before appointment
