National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur has released Vacancy Notification No. 1/2026 for 49 posts to be filled through direct recruitment, deputation or short-term contract. Of these, 39 posts are at NIA Panchkula (the extension centre) and 10 posts are at NIA Jaipur. The recruitment covers both teaching (faculty) and non-teaching roles in Ayurveda and allied areas. Who Can Apply?

For Teaching Posts (Professor / Associate / Assistant Professor)

  • Post-Graduate Degree in Ayurveda in the concerned subject recognised under IMCC Act 1970 / NCISM Act 2020
  • Professor: 15 years teaching experience + 10 research publications. Associate Professor: 10 years + 7 publications. Assistant Professor: PG degree + 3 publications
  • If you are not already a teacher in an Ayurvedic college, you must have cleared NTET

For Medical & Healthcare Posts

  • Medical Officer: MD/MS (Ayurved) in the relevant subject
  • Panchakarma Vaidya: MD (Ayurveda) in Panchakarma
  • Radiologist: MD in Radiology, or MBBS & DNB Radiology with 2 years experience + NMC and AERB/ELORA registration
  • Nursing Officer (Ayurveda): B.Sc Nursing (Ayush) or Diploma in Ayush Nursing & Pharmacy with registration

For Non-Teaching Posts

  • Deputy Director (Admn. & Finance): By deputation — Central/State Govt officers in analogous posts or Pay Level 10 with 3 years experience
  • Accountant: B.Com or MBA in Financial Management or Chartered Accountant
  • Librarian: Bachelor's degree in Library & Information Science + 2 years experience
  • Junior Translation Officer: Master's degree with Hindi/English combination + translation diploma or experience
  • Pharmacist: 12th pass + Diploma in Ayush Nursing & Pharmacy / B.Pharma (Ayurved)

Age Limit

  • Professor: up to 55 years; Associate Professor: up to 50 years; Assistant Professor / Medical Officer / Panchakarma Vaidya / Radiologist: up to 40 years
  • Accountant / Nursing Officer / Jr. Translation Officer / Pharmacist: up to 30 years; Librarian: up to 35 years; Deputy Director (deputation): up to 56 years
  • Age is calculated as on the closing date, 20 June 2026
  • Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and Central/State govt employees, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PH candidates, as per Government of India rules

  • Guide students and conduct research in the concerned Ayurveda discipline (for faculty)
  • Provide patient care and clinical services at the Ayurveda hospital (for medical and nursing posts)
  • Maintain accounts, records and office files (for non-teaching posts)
  • Publish research papers in indexed and peer-reviewed journals
  • Use computers, AI tools and hospital information systems where required

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Varies by post — PG Degree in Ayurveda (faculty/medical), MD Radiology (radiologist), B.Sc Nursing Ayush (nursing), B.Com/MBA/CA (accountant), 12th + Pharmacy diploma (pharmacist)

Preferred Qualification

Ph.D. in the concerned Ayurveda subject; working knowledge of computers and AI

Required Skills

NTET for teaching posts (if not already an Ayurvedic college teacher); working knowledge of computers, AI and hospital information systems
