NHSRC is the apex technical support institution to the National Health Mission (NHM) and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Working on behalf of MoHFW, it is looking for a Senior Consultant to strengthen its Family Planning (FP) Division. This is a purely contractual role based in New Delhi that involves close coordination with state governments, training institutions and the Additional Commissioner, Family Planning. Candidates with prior NHM or RCH experience at the national or state level get preference. The role suits public health professionals who enjoy fieldwork, data analysis and program monitoring, and who can travel extensively to states and districts. As Senior Consultant, you will directly support the Additional Commissioner, Family Planning by tracking expenditure across state Family Planning budgets, reviewing the Family Planning component of State Program Implementation Plans (PIPs), and building lasting working relationships with State Health Societies and training institutions across the country.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MBBS / BDS / BHMS / BAMS / BPT plus an MD / MPH / MHA / PG Diploma in Health Management / MBA in Health Management.
• Experience: At least 5 years in public health, including 2-3 years in Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) with a government body at the national or state level.
• Skills: Strong critical analysis and report-writing skills, familiarity with the Indian health system and National Health Mission policies, and computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Language: Excellent oral and written communication in both Hindi and English.
• Educational qualification and experience requirements may be relaxed for candidates with high-quality published work or highly relevant experience.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 55 years as on 18 August 2026, the last date for receiving applications.
• You should be in sound health to undertake extensive field visits to states and districts.

Salary

• You will get a monthly remuneration of Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 1,50,000, based on your qualifications and experience.

Selection Process
