Responsibilities
- Provide primary healthcare services at assigned Community Health Centres (CHCs), Primary Health Centres (PHCs), or Sub-Centres in Gujarat
- Handle OPD consultations, diagnose patients, and prescribe appropriate treatment
- Assist in implementing National Health Mission programmes including immunisation drives, maternal health, and disease control initiatives
- Manage medical emergencies and refer critical patients to higher-level facilities when needed
- Keep accurate medical records, case sheets, and daily reports as per NHM guidelines
- Work with ASHA workers, ANMs, and other paramedical staff to ensure community health outreach
- Follow standard treatment protocols and clinical guidelines issued by the Government of Gujarat
- Prepare monthly reports on patient load, disease surveillance, and programme performance for the District Health Officer
