National Film Development Corporation Ltd. (NFDC), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has released Advertisement No. 03/Regular/2026 for the post of General Manager (North) at its Head Office in Mumbai. This is a senior-level managerial role responsible for leading the Regional office of NFDC, driving business development, and managing the Promotion, Programming, and Production verticals. The post is open on direct recruitment, immediate absorption, or deputation basis, making it suitable for senior professionals from PSUs, government bodies, or private sector with strong film and media industry credentials.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification (Essential)

• Ph.D OR 2-year full-time Post Graduation degree / Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication, Film Studies, Mass Media, Journalism, or Film Archiving
• Qualification must be from a UGC recognised university or AICTE approved institution
• Only full-time / regular courses will be considered

Desirable Qualification

• Diploma or Certificate in Film Studies, Media Studies, Film Archiving, or Curating Programmer

Experience

• 15 years of work experience with PSU / any Government Organisation / private sector
• Out of these, minimum 10 years in a senior managerial position
• Minimum 7 years in business development, international relations, media planning, or skill development related to films

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 50 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: length of military service plus 3 years

Salary

• Pay Scale: Rs. 1,00,000 - Rs. 2,60,000 per month (E7 level)
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per NFDC and Central Government rules

Selection Process

The selection will be done in two stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on educational qualification and experience as mentioned in the application
2. Personal Interview: Document verification with original certificates on the date of interview. Candidates not found eligible during verification will be rejected
