Who Can Apply?

For Junior Engineer (Electrical):

• SC/ST candidates: Full Time Regular Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a State Technical Board or recognized institute, with pass marks.
• UR candidates: Full Time Regular Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with not less than 70% marks from a State Technical Board or recognized institute.

For Junior Engineer (Mechanical):

• ST candidates: Full Time Regular Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering from a State Technical Board or recognized institute, with pass marks.
• UR/EWS candidates: Full Time Regular Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering with not less than 70% marks from a State Technical Board or recognized institute.

Only Full Time Regular diploma courses approved by BTE/State Technical Education Board are accepted — diplomas through distance learning mode are not eligible. You must also be registered with the Agartala or Sepahijala Employment Exchange and hold Tripura state domicile.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 30 years old (UR/EWS) as on 01 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates can apply up to 35 years (inclusive of 5 years relaxation).
• Ex-Servicemen: Get an additional 10 years relaxation over and above the UR/EWS or SC/ST upper age limit.

Salary

• Selected candidates will be placed in the IDA Pay Scale of Rs. 29,300-3%-1,19,700 (S-1 Grade), with a starting monthly emolument of Rs. 29,300.
• You will also get DA, HRA (where company accommodation is not provided), Cafeteria Allowance at 35% of Basic Pay, Location Based Allowance at 10% of Basic Pay, plus PF and NEDCSS contributions.
• Your minimum monthly CTC works out to around Rs. 59,000.
• You will undergo 2 years of training at NEEPCO sites before confirmation.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through:

1. Written Test: Conducted at a designated test center. Admit cards are issued through the NEEPCO recruitment portal, and TA/DA is paid to candidates for appearing in the written test.
