National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), a joint venture of the Government of India and the states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has released Vacancy Notice No. 27/2026 for 1 Senior Deputy General Manager and 2 Assistant Manager posts in Transport Planning. These are contract positions supporting the Namo Bharat rapid rail project. Three RRTS corridors are planned in the first phase — Delhi-Meerut, Delhi-Gurugram-SNB-Alwar, and Delhi-Panipat-Karnal — and NCRTC has already opened the Delhi-Meerut corridor for commercial revenue operations. Both posts carry a 5-year contract term that can be extended based on performance and organizational need. Experienced transport planners from government departments, PSUs, or the private sector can apply, provided they meet the qualification and experience criteria fixed for each post.

Who Can Apply?

For Sr. Deputy General Manager / Transport Planner (E5):

• Qualification: Master of Transport Planning/Transport Engineering with B.E./B.Tech (Civil), B.Plan, or B.Arch (Full Time).
• Experience: Minimum 11 years of post-qualification experience at E2/L9 level or above if you work in a CPSE/PSU/Central or State Government, OR minimum 13 years if you are from the private sector.

For Assistant Manager / Transport Planner (E2):

• Qualification: Master of Transport Planning/Transport Engineering with B.E./B.Tech (Civil), B.Plan, or B.Arch (Full Time).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in Transport Planning.

In both roles, you will prepare transport and mobility plans, traffic impact assessments, and multimodal integration studies for the RRTS corridors and station areas. Only full-time regular courses are considered — distance or part-time degrees are not accepted. If you hold a private-sector job, your CTC will be verified using Form 16, your ITR, and your last 12 months' salary slips.

If you want to apply against a reserved vacancy, you need a valid category certificate. SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates must submit a certificate from the designated authority in the prescribed format. OBC candidates belonging to the 'creamy layer' are not entitled to OBC concessions and must apply as General category. EWS candidates need an Income and Asset Certificate for the current financial year, and PwBD candidates need a disability certificate as prescribed under the RPwBD Act, 2016.

Age Limit

• For Sr. Deputy General Manager, the maximum age is 45 years as on 17 July 2026.
• For Assistant Manager, the maximum age is 40 years as on 17 July 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Standard relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC-NCL, EWS, and PwBD candidates as per Government of India rules, when applying against reserved vacancies.

Salary

• Sr. Deputy General Manager/Transport Planner (E5) gets Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 2,20,000 per month under the IDA pay scale.
• Assistant Manager/Transport Planner (E2) gets Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,60,000 per month under the IDA pay scale.
• You will also get Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), perks, and other allowances under the Cafeteria Approach, as per Company rules.

The selected candidate may be posted at any NCRTC office, workplace, or project unit, including its subsidiaries and joint ventures, and may be assigned to shift operations depending on business requirements.

Selection Process

The selection process includes the following stages:

1. Written Test/CBT: You need to secure qualifying marks if you are applying against an unreserved post.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview.
3. Document Verification: NCRTC checks your eligibility against original documents at the time of interview. If you are not found eligible, you will be dropped from the next stage.
