The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) is hiring for 2 posts — Law Officer (1 post) and Finance & Accounts Officer (1 post) — at its office in New Delhi. These are Group A officer-level posts to be filled on deputation basis. The Law Officer post is at Pay Level-12 (Rs. 78,800-2,09,200) and the FAO post is at Pay Level-11 (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700). NCRPB Law Officer and FAO Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB), a statutory body under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India, has invited applications from well-qualified and experienced officers for two senior posts at its head office at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. These posts are filled by deputation (including short-term contract) — only serving officers from Central/State Governments, UTs, Universities, PSUs and other Government bodies can apply. The recruitment is governed by the Recruitment Regulations 2018 (Law Officer) and 2006 (FAO).

Who Can Apply?

These posts are filled by deputation only. Officers serving under the Central/State Governments, UTs, Universities, recognised Research Institutions, PSUs, Semi-Government or Statutory/Autonomous bodies can apply.

For Law Officer (Level-12)

• Eligibility: You must be holding an analogous post on a regular basis in your parent department, OR have 5 years of regular service at Pay Level-11 (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700) under the 7th CPC.
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Law from a recognised University/Institute.
• Experience: 9 years of experience in handling legal matters relating to contractual matters, arbitration, legislative matters or land acquisition cases.

For Finance & Accounts Officer (Level-11)

• Educational Qualification: MA (Hons.) Economics / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent degree in finance from a recognised University, with 7 years of experience.
• Preferential Qualification: ICWA / CA.
• Experience: Officers from Central/State Government Organisations or PSUs with 3 years service in the pay scale of Rs. 8,000-13,500 (or equivalent) in the parent cadre are eligible.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
• For Law Officer: Period of deputation will be 4 years.
• For FAO: Initial deputation period of 3 years, extendable by 2 more years.
• No age bar for internal candidates (existing NCRPB employees) otherwise qualified for the post.

Salary

• Law Officer: Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month under Pay Level-12 of the 7th CPC.
• Finance & Accounts Officer: Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month under Pay Level-11 of the 7th CPC.
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances applicable to Central Government employees on deputation.

Application Fee

• General / OBC / EWS male candidates: Rs. 100 (Crossed IPO/Demand Draft payable at New Delhi in favour of NCR Planning Board, OR online to Bank A/C No. 53048557394, IFSC SBIN0030203, SBI SME Branch, Connaught Circus, New Delhi).
• SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen / Female candidates: No fee.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process

Selection will be done as follows:

1. Shortlisting: Based on your service records, qualifications and experience submitted through proper channel.
2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview at NCRPB office, New Delhi.
3. Document Verification: Original Part-C / No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your parent department must be submitted at the time of interview.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

3. Attach self-attested copies of all certificates, mark sheets, NOC and service records.
4. Pay the fee through Crossed IPO/Demand Draft or online bank transfer and attach proof.
5. Send the completed application through proper channel to the Member Secretary, NCR Planning Board, 1st Floor, Core-4B, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003.
6. You can also send an advance copy directly to NCRPB, but final consideration will be only if the application is received through proper channel within the deadline.
7. Application must reach NCRPB by 4 July 2026.

• Handle all legal matters of the Board including contractual issues, arbitration cases and land acquisition disputes
• Manage finance and accounts operations of NCRPB on a day-to-day basis
• Prepare budgets, financial statements and audit reports as per Central Government norms
• Advise the Board on legislative and regulatory compliance matters
• Coordinate with State Governments, statutory bodies and law firms on behalf of NCRPB
• Monitor revenue, expenditure and investment of Board funds
• Represent NCRPB before courts, tribunals and arbitration forums when required
