The National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), a part of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), has released Advertisement No. 8/2026 to hire 2 Technical Trainees for its Civil Department. These are fixed-term training posts for one year, which can be extended up to a maximum of two years. Freshers with a civil engineering diploma are welcome to apply — you just need to attend the walk-in with your documents.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised University or Institute with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• Experience: Freshers with relevant skills are preferred, so you do not need any prior work experience.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 28 years as on 01 January 2026.

Salary

• Selected trainees will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 23,000.
• This is a training role, so the amount is paid as a fixed stipend during the training period.

Selection Process

Selection is done through the walk-in. The process may include the following:

1. Walk-In Screening: Attend the walk-in with your CV and true copies of your certificates.
2. Written Test / Skill Test / Trade Test: The selection may include a written test or a skill/trade test. Any change in the process will be told to you in advance.

Note: There is no promise of a permanent job at NCBS after the training ends.
