The university was established as a public State University under Assam Act No. LIX of 2023 by upgrading the autonomous Nowgong College, Nagaon. Guest Faculty positions are open in the following 23 departments:

• Languages: Arabic, Assamese, Bengali, English, Hindi, Sanskrit
• Science: Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology
• Social Science: Economics, Education, Geography, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology
• Commerce and Allied: Commerce, MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician)
• Performing Arts: Sattriya Dance

Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: Master's Degree (Post Graduation) in the concerned subject from a recognised university
• Preferred: NET / SLET / Ph.D. qualified candidates will be given preference
• For Sattriya Dance: Relevant qualification and experience in the discipline
• For MLT: Relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology
• Open to candidates from all categories - UR, OBC, MOBC, SC, ST, PWD, EWS
