Nagaland University is hiring 1 Junior Project Fellow (JPF) for a 6-month research project on Gifted Education in Nagaland under NEP 2020. The project is funded by the DER, NCERT, New Delhi. Nagaland University Junior Project Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
Nagaland University, a Central University established by an Act of Parliament (No. 35 of 1989), has invited applications for the post of 1 Junior Project Fellow for a research project titled "An Evaluation of Preparedness in Nagaland for Gifted Education: Practices and Priorities as per NEP 2020". The project is funded by the Department of Educational Research (DER), NCERT, New Delhi. There is no written exam — selection is based on application screening and interview. Education postgraduates and research aspirants can apply.
Who Can Apply?
Essential Qualification
- You must have an M.Ed./MA in Education or any related discipline.
- Minimum marks: 55% for General candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PH candidates.
Desirable Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of computers, proficiency in MS Office, data processing and report preparation.
- Good communication skills.
Salary
- For NET/Ph.D. qualified candidates: Rs. 37,000 per month (consolidated)
- For Non-NET candidates: Rs. 35,000 per month (consolidated)
- The amount is fully consolidated — no other allowances are payable.
Selection Process (No Written Exam)
Selection is done in two stages:
- Application Screening: The Project Investigator screens applications based on essential qualification and marks.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for interview (details communicated by the Project Investigator).

Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Investigator in the research study on Gifted Education preparedness in Nagaland as per NEP 2020
- Conduct field visits, school surveys and stakeholder interviews across Nagaland
- Collect, clean and process qualitative and quantitative data on gifted education practices
- Prepare data tables, charts and progress reports using MS Office tools
- Help draft the interim and final research reports of the NCERT-funded project
- Maintain project records, correspondence and documentation as required
- Coordinate with schools, teachers, education officials and NCERT during the project

NET / Ph.D. qualification; basic computer knowledge with MS Office and data processing skills
