MSEBHCL Director (Fuel) MSPGCL Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The MSEB Holding Company Ltd. (MSEBHCL) has released Advertisement No. 05/2026 dated 29 April 2026 to fill the Board-level post of Director (Fuel) in its subsidiary Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd. (MSPGCL). The post is open to experienced power sector professionals with strong leadership and impeccable performance history. The selected Director will report directly to the Chairman & Managing Director. Officers from Central/State Government, Central/State PSUs and private sector executives can apply.

Who Can Apply?

Option (i): Power Sector Professional

• Qualification: Graduate engineer in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation stream
• Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience in a power generation company or PSU, with full exposure to management in thermal power generation
• Senior-level experience: Minimum 5 years at Chief Engineer level or equivalent, of which 1 year must be one position below the Board in a State Electricity Board or on the Board of Directors in a Public Sector Undertaking (power sector)

Option (ii): All India Service Officer

• Minimum 15 years of experience in All India Service with the Government of Maharashtra

Preferred Qualification

• MBA or equivalent degree from a reputed management school
• Qualifications and experience may be relaxed by the competent selection authority in deserving cases.

Restriction

• Candidates who have already served as Functional/Whole-time Director in MSPGCL for a maximum of 2 terms (including the present serving/remaining term) are NOT eligible.

Age Limit

• Maximum age under Option (i) (Power sector professional): 60 years
• Maximum age under Option (ii) (All India Service): 62 years
• Age is calculated as on the date of advertisement: 29 April 2026

Salary

• Compensation is largely comparable to similar-sized PSUs and is negotiable.
• For candidates on deputation from Government / PSUs, remuneration follows normal deputation rules.
• Unfurnished residential accommodation may be provided at concessional rent (subject to availability). If accommodation is not provided, HRA is paid at the applicable company rate.

Selection Process

Selection is by interview only. There is no written exam.

1. Application Scrutiny: Only shortlisted candidates meeting the Selection Committee's benchmark will be called for the next stage.
2. Personal Interview (candidates appear at their own expense)
3. Document Verification: Done only after the candidate has qualified the final selection process

Mere possession of qualifications does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
