GESCOM is hiring 275 Apprentices for one-year training under the National Apprenticeship Scheme. Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company Limited (GESCOM), a wholly-owned company of the Government of Karnataka, has invited offline applications for one-year apprenticeship training in BE Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Diploma Electrical Engineering streams. The notification covers 175 BE Engineering posts and 100 Diploma posts, for a total of 275 vacancies. There is no written exam — selection is purely on merit. Karnataka domicile candidates will get preference.

Who Can Apply?

For BE Apprentice (Stipend Rs. 9,000/month):

• You must have a BE degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a Karnataka State Government or Central Government recognised university or institute.

For Diploma Apprentice (Stipend Rs. 8,000/month):

• You must have a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a Karnataka polytechnic recognised by the State Government or Central Government.

Other Requirements:

• You must have passed your BE or Diploma after January 2022 — only 2026-27 trainees are eligible.
• You must be able to read and write Kannada.
• Karnataka domicile candidates will get preference.
• Persons with disabilities are not eligible to apply for these training posts.
• Candidates who have already done apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961, or who are currently undergoing it, are not eligible.
• You must arrange your own food and accommodation during the training.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 18 years and above as per the Apprentices Act 1961.
• There is no upper age limit mentioned in the notification.

Stipend

• BE Apprentice: Rs. 9,000 per month
• Diploma Apprentice: Rs. 8,000 per month
• The apprenticeship is a one-year training programme as per the Apprentices Act 1961. After training, GESCOM has no obligation to offer regular employment.

Application Fee

• A Rs. 25 self-addressed postal stamp must be attached to a 4x9 inch envelope with your application.
• No separate application fee is mentioned.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

1. Merit-based shortlisting: Selection is purely based on the marks scored in your BE or Diploma qualifying examination.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of all original certificates and mark sheets.

How to Apply

1. Download the application format from the official GESCOM website at gescom.karnataka.gov.in.
2. Fill in the application form with your full details — name, parents' name, date of birth, address, qualification, and contact details.
3. Attach photocopies of: SSLC marks card, PUC marks card, all semester marks cards of BE or Diploma, degree certificate or provisional degree certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and Aadhaar card.
4. Attach a recent passport-size photo and a Rs. 25 postal stamp on a self-addressed 4x9 inch envelope.
5. Send your filled application by post or in person to: Chief General Manager (A & MS), Corporate Office, GESCOM, Station Road, Kalaburagi - 585102, Karnataka.
6. Applications must reach GESCOM by 5:00 PM on 5 June 2026. Mention "2026-27 Apprenticeship Training - BE Graduate / Diploma" clearly on the envelope.

• Participate in field visits, inspections, and project work as assigned
• Support metering, billing, and consumer service operations when required
