About This Job
MPPSC Assistant Professor 2026 recruitment deadline extended to June 9, 2026 (some subjects: June 26). Apply online at mppsc.mp.gov.in for 949 vacancies across various subjects.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and conduct seminars for undergraduate and postgraduate students in government colleges across Madhya Pradesh
- Prepare course material, question papers, and evaluate student assessments as per university guidelines
- Undertake academic research and publish scholarly papers in recognized journals
- Guide and mentor students in their academic and career development
- Participate in university administrative duties, examination work, and academic committees
- Contribute to curriculum development and syllabus revision as required by the Higher Education Department
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university, along with NET (UGC/CSIR/ICAR) or SET/SLET qualification. PhD holders are exempted from NET/SET/SLET requirement.
Preferred Qualification
PhD in the relevant subject is preferred and provides exemption from NET/SET requirement
Age Limit
21 - 40 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST (MP domicile): 5 years
- OBC (MP domicile): 5 years
- Women (MP domicile): 5 years
- PwD: 10 years
- Guest Scholars: 10 years

Interview (100 Marks)
Candidates who qualify the written exam are called for a personal interview. The final merit list is prepared based on combined scores from the written exam and interview, with a maximum total of 900 marks.
