MAHATRANSCO Electrician Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MAHATRANSCO) has announced 39 Electrician Apprentice vacancies under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The training will be conducted at the EHV O&M Division offices in the Sangli region of Maharashtra. This is a 1-year apprenticeship programme and you will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 9,600 during training.

Who Can Apply

• You must have passed Class 10 (SSC or equivalent)
• You must hold an ITI certificate in the Electrician trade, certified by NCVT or SCVT
• Your age must be between 18 and 30 years
• Age relaxation is available for reserved category candidates as per Maharashtra Government rules
• No prior work experience is needed — this is open to freshers only

Stipend

• Rs. 9,600 per month (apprenticeship stipend as per Apprentices Act norms)
• No other allowances mentioned

Selection Process

There is no written exam or interview. Selection is purely merit-based on your academic and ITI marks. The higher your marks, the better your chances of getting selected.

Important Note About This Apprenticeship

This is an apprenticeship training programme, not a permanent government job. Completing this apprenticeship does not guarantee a permanent job at MAHATRANSCO. You will gain hands-on electrical training and an apprenticeship completion certificate under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

• Assist senior electricians in operation and maintenance of Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission equipment

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work records as directed by supervisors
• Complete on-the-job training tasks assigned under the Apprentices Act, 1961 programme
• Report faults and maintenance issues to the concerned officer promptly
