MAHATRANSCO is the state transmission utility that carries electricity at extra-high-voltage (EHV) levels from power generation plants to the distribution companies serving every district of Maharashtra. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed 10th (SSC) from a Maharashtra State board.
• Trade Certificate: You must hold an NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training), New Delhi recognized ITI certificate in the Electrician trade.
• Domicile: You must hold a Maharashtra domicile certificate.
• Documents: Both your SSC and ITI mark sheets (all four semesters) must be uploaded as scanned copies on your profile at the time of applying.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 38 years old as on 1 July 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Backward class candidates (SC/ST/OBC/VJ/NT/SBC etc.) get a 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit.

Salary

• Selected apprentices will get a monthly stipend as per the applicable rules under the Apprentices Act. The exact stipend amount was not mentioned in the notice.
• Since this is an apprenticeship and not a regular pay-scale post, you will not get DA, HRA, or other allowances during the training period.

Selection Process

The selection for these apprentice posts will be done in the following stages:

1. Merit List: Prepared from the average of your SSC and ITI (Electrician) marks — each carries 50% weightage. The list follows applicable social reservation rules, category-wise.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must submit their filled Form A along with self-attested copies of certificates by post or in person.

Since this engagement is under the Apprentices Act framework, you will get a certificate of proficiency from the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) once you complete the one-year term. This is a recognized credential that helps when you apply for electrician jobs in both public and private sector companies later.
