Karnataka Lokayukta Clerk-Cum-Typist Recruitment 2026 - 26 Posts

Karnataka Lokayukta, the state's anti-corruption watchdog headquartered in Bengaluru, has released a notification to fill 26 Clerk-Cum-Typist posts in its Group-C cadre through direct recruitment. Of these, 25 posts are open under the Residual Parent Cadre and 1 post is reserved for the Kalyana Karnataka Local Cadre under Article 371J. There is no interview — selection is based on your PUC marks and a computer-based eligibility test. This is a solid opportunity for PUC-pass candidates looking for a stable state government job. Karnataka Lokayukta is the state’s statutory anti-corruption body that investigates complaints of corruption and maladministration against public servants, so a Clerk-Cum-Typist here supports case files, correspondence and hearings in a high-visibility office.

Vacancy Breakdown

  • Residual Parent Cadre (RPC): 25 posts
  • Kalyana Karnataka Local Cadre (Article 371J): 1 post

Within the 25 RPC posts, seats are reserved across categories as per Karnataka's reservation rules — General (12), Scheduled Caste (4), Scheduled Tribe (1), Category-1 (1), Category-2A (4), Category-2B (1), Category-3A (1) and Category-3B (1) — with 1 post horizontally reserved for third gender candidates.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You must have passed the Pre-University Course (PUC/12th) or an equivalent examination.

  • Domicile: Kannada-medium and rural candidates get separate eligibility relaxations under Karnataka government rules. Rural relaxation applies if you studied from 1st to 10th standard in a rural school, while Kannada-medium relaxation applies if you studied through Kannada medium up to 10th standard, both verified against your marks cards.
  • Persons with Disabilities: Candidates with 40% or more benchmark disability — including blindness, low vision, leprosy cured, hearing impairment, locomotor disability, or mental illness — can apply for reserved posts with a valid medical certificate.
  • Third Gender: A 1% horizontal reservation is available for third gender candidates across all categories, as per government orders and the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019.
