NLC India Limited is hiring 163 Apprentices at its Barsingsar Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. If you have passed ITI, Diploma, or a Graduate degree in an eligible trade between 2022 and 2026, you can apply online. The last date to apply is 3 August 2026. You will get a monthly stipend ranging from Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 15,028 depending on your training category. Only candidates who belong to the State of Rajasthan are eligible.

NLC India Limited (NLCIL) Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - 163 Training Slots

NLC India Limited, a "Navratna" Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Coal, has released Advertisement No. NLCIL-BP/01/2026 for one-year Apprenticeship Training at its Barsingsar Project under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973. The training is spread across 4 categories and 22 trades/disciplines — from Electrician and Fitter to Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, B.Com, and BBA. Half the ITI/Trade seats are reserved for Rajiv Gandhi ITI, Barsingsar pass-outs, while Diploma and Graduate seats have quotas for wards of Project Affected Persons and NLCIL employees. This is a great entry point into practical industry training for candidates from Rajasthan.

Reservation: For Trade Apprentices, 50% of slots go to Rajiv Gandhi ITI, Barsingsar pass-outs and 50% are open. For Diploma and Graduate categories, 40% of slots are reserved for wards of Project Affected Persons, 10% for wards of NLCIL employees, and 50% are open competition. Horizontal reservation for PwBD candidates also applies to select trades.

Who Can Apply?

Trade Apprentices:

• You must have passed the ITI (NCVT) examination in the respective trade from a government-recognized institute.

Diploma / Technician Apprentices:

• You need a full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology from a recognized institution, State Council, or Board of Technical Education.

Graduate (Engineering) Apprentices:

• You need a full-time Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university in the relevant discipline.

Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentices:

• You need a full-time B.Com or BBA degree from a recognized university.

Other Conditions (apply to all categories):

• You must have passed your qualifying exam in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 only.
• Only candidates belonging to the State of Rajasthan are eligible.
• You should not have undergone or currently be undergoing apprenticeship training anywhere else.
• You should not have 1 year or more of work experience in any job.
• You must have a valid, fully-updated Apprentice Registration/Enrolment on the NAPS/NATS portal before applying.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old, as per the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Salary

• ITI/Trade Apprentices: Rs. 12,000 per month
• Diploma/Technician Apprentices: Rs. 12,524 per month
• Graduate (Engineering) Apprentices: Rs. 15,028 per month
• Graduate (Non-Engineering) Apprentices: Rs. 12,524 per month
• The training period is one year for all categories. Transportation and accommodation are not provided — you will need to make your own arrangements.

Selection Process

There is no written exam or interview. Selection is purely on merit:

1. Merit List based on Qualifying Marks: Your selection depends on the percentage of marks scored in your qualifying examination (ITI/Diploma/B.E./B.Tech/B.Com/BBA, as applicable). If two candidates score the same percentage, the older candidate (by date of birth) gets preference.
2. Certificate Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification, tentatively between 27 and 28 August 2026.
3. Final Selection List: To be published on the NLCIL website, tentatively by 1 September 2026.

Completing this apprenticeship does not guarantee you a permanent or temporary job at NLC India Limited.

How to Apply

1. Make sure you have a valid, updated Apprentice Registration/Enrolment Number on the NAPS/NATS portal — this is mandatory before you can apply.
2. Go to www.nlcindia.in and open the Career page, then the Trainee & Apprentices tab, and select Advt. No. BP 01/2026 (or apply directly through the application portal).
3. Complete the online registration-cum-application form.
4. Take a printout of the completed form.
5. Attach self-attested copies of your certificates (mark sheets, degree/diploma certificate, community certificate, Aadhaar, date of birth proof, and other applicable documents).
6. Send the signed form and documents by post to The Project Head / Barsingsar Project, NLC India Limited, Administrative Building, Barsingsar, Bikaner (District), Rajasthan-334402 so it reaches by 10 August 2026, 5:00 PM (or drop it in the collection box at Barsingsar Thermal Power Station, Gate No. 2).
