The High Court of Madhya Pradesh (MPHC) is hiring 130 Senior Computer Programmer Assistants for District Courts across the state through a one-time Direct Recruitment Suitability Test. This recruitment is open only to current employees and officials of the High Court of MP and District Courts (regular or outsourced) already working in the IT domain. The last date to apply is 10 August 2026. There is no application fee, and salary ranges from Rs. 36,200 to Rs. 1,14,800 per month under the 7th Pay Commission.
High Court of Madhya Pradesh (MPHC) Senior Computer Programmer Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 130 Posts
The High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur has released Advertisement No. 61/SCPA/Exam/2026, dated 17 July 2026, for 130 Senior Computer Programmer Assistant posts in District Courts of the state, under the Madhya Pradesh District Court Technical Manpower (Appointment & Conditions of Service) Rules, 2019. This is a one-time measure open only to existing employees and officials of the High Court and District Courts of MP who are already working in the I.T. domain — either as regular staff or through outsourcing — with at least 2 years of relevant work experience. Candidates who do not currently work in these court establishments are not eligible to apply. This recruitment lets eligible IT staff move into a regular technical cadre post under the High Court system.
Who Can Apply?
- Eligibility Restriction: Only current employees/officials of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh and District Courts in MP (regular or outsourced), working in the I.T. domain, can apply for this one-time recruitment.
- Qualification: You need B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc in CS/IT/Electronics & Telecommunications, or BCA/MCA/M.Sc (Electronics/CS/IT), with at least 1 year of experience in Linux, Open Source Software, Windows, DBMS, or software development.
- Experience: You must have at least 2 years of work experience in a District Court Establishment or the High Court of Madhya Pradesh. This is a mandatory condition under Schedule-I of the Rules 2019.
- Conduct: You should not have been punished in any departmental enquiry or for misconduct or any other reason.
- NOC: If you are not currently working in a District Court Establishment or the High Court, you must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer at the time of filing your form, failing which you will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
- Category-wise Vacancies: Unreserved: 85, OBC: 3, SC: 21, ST: 21 (Total: 130). 8 posts are reserved for Persons with Disabilities across categories such as visual/low vision, hearing impairment, locomotor disability, and autism/intellectual disability.
Age Limit
- Maximum age limit is 45 years for Unreserved category candidates, as on 1 January 2026 — the first day of January of the year in which the recruitment process was initiated.
- Age Relaxation: Candidates from OBC, SC, ST, PwD categories, and women (reserved or unreserved) can apply up to 50 years, which is 5 years more than the normal age limit set by the Madhya Pradesh General Administration Department.
Salary
- Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 36,200 to Rs. 1,14,800 per month (7th Pay Commission), equivalent to Rs. 9,300-34,800 + Grade Pay Rs. 3,600 under the 6th Pay Commission.
- You will also get allowances as per Madhya Pradesh government rules.

Selection Process
The selection will be done in 4 stages:
- Preliminary Screening Examination (MCQ): 100 objective-type questions for 100 marks, to be solved in 2 hours on an OMR sheet. Only candidates who qualify at a 1:3 ratio (per category, per post) move to the next stage.
- Practical Examination: 25 marks, based on the same syllabus as the screening exam, likely held at the High Court premises in Jabalpur.
- Interview: 15 marks, also conducted at the High Court premises in Jabalpur. You must carry your original documents for verification.
- Past Performance Appraisal: 10 marks, based on your last 2 years' appraisal reports (ACRs).
The final merit list is prepared using your combined marks from the Practical Examination, Interview, and Past Performance Appraisal (the Preliminary Screening Exam is only used for shortlisting). You need to secure at least 40% marks in this aggregate to be declared successful. Admit cards will be generated on the High Court website at least 7 days before the exam date, and you can download and print your own admit card. No travelling allowance is payable for any stage of the selection process, and there is no provision for rechecking or revaluation of marks once declared. The final select list and waiting list will be valid for one year or until the next recruitment advertisement, whichever comes first.

- Attach self-attested copies of all required documents, experience certificates, and recent coloured photographs.
- If you are not currently employed in a District Court Establishment or the High Court, attach a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer.
- Send the completed form to the Examination Section, High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur by post or hand delivery, and keep a copy of your submitted form for your records.
- Make sure your application reaches the office on or before 10 August 2026. Late or incomplete applications will be rejected without assigning any reason.
