The Office of the District Judge, Keonjhar has released Advertisement No. 03 of 2026, dated 7 July 2026, for 6 Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist posts on a regular basis, under the Odisha District and Civil Courts' Judicial Staff Services (Method of Recruitment and Condition of Service) Rules, 2008. This recruitment does not charge any application fee from candidates of any category, which makes it an attractive option for graduates looking for a stable court job in Odisha. Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You must have passed at least a +3 (graduation) examination or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
  • Computer Skill: You must have passed a Diploma in Computer Application from a recognised institution.
  • Language: You should be able to speak, read, and write Odia, and must have passed a test in Odia equivalent to M.E. standard.
  • Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.
  • Character and Health: You should be of good character, sound health, good physique, and free from organic defects or bodily infirmity.
  • Marital Status: You should not have more than one spouse living, if married.
  • Criminal Record: You should have no criminal antecedents as on the date of application.
  • Reservation: Reservation for Women, Physically Handicapped persons, Ex-Servicemen, and Sportspersons is available as per applicable rules.
  • Government Employees: Candidates already working under the State or Central Government can also apply, provided they meet the qualification and age criteria and apply through proper channel along with a No Objection Certificate from their employer.

Age Limit

Salary

  • Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month under Level-4 of the Odisha Revised Scales of Pay (ORSP) Rules, 2017.
  • You will also get Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances as admissible from time to time.
  • No Travelling Allowance is admissible to candidates appearing for the examination.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 3 stages:

  1. Written Examination (Part-I): Covers English (100 marks, 2 hours), Arithmetic (100 marks, 1 hour), and General Knowledge (100 marks, 1 hour).
  2. Computer Science Practical Test (Part-II): 100 marks, 1 hour. Only candidates who qualify Part-I are called for this test.
  3. Viva Voce (Part-III): 45 marks. Only candidates who qualify the practical test are called for the viva voce.

This means you need to clear each stage before moving to the next one, so focus on the written exam first. English, Arithmetic, and General Knowledge together carry the highest weight, so a strong preparation in these basics will help you move ahead in the process.

If a large number of applications are received, the authority reserves the right to shortlist candidates for the written exam as per the applicable rules. The date of examination will be intimated to candidates through a letter, the office notice board, and the District Court website, so keep checking for updates.
