Kerala PSC is hiring 1 Security Officer for Universities in Kerala. This is a Second NCA notification for the Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava community. You need a degree in any subject and must be an ex-serviceman retired from the rank of Captain or an equivalent cadre in the Navy or Air Force. Kerala PSC Security Officer Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released Category No. 38/2026 for Security Officer in Universities in Kerala. The vacancy is earmarked for the Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava community because it remained unfilled from the earlier ranked list and first NCA notification. Differently abled candidates are not eligible for this post as per the notification.

This is the second NCA notification linked to the parent ranked list published on 03 April 2024 for Category No. 646/2021. Kerala PSC issued this notice because suitable candidates were not available even after the first NCA notification published under Category No. 402/2024.

Who Can Apply?

Community Requirement

• NCA Community: You must belong to the Ezhava/Thiyya/Billava community of Kerala State.
• Other Communities: Applications from other communities will be rejected by Kerala PSC.
• Vacancy Status: The notification says the 1 vacancy is currently in existence and is reserved for this NCA turn.

Educational and Service Qualification

• Degree: You must have a degree in any subject from a recognised university.
• Ex-Serviceman Requirement: You must be an ex-serviceman retired from the rank of Captain or from a similar cadre in the Navy or Air Force.
• Departmental Test: After appointment, you must pass the required departmental test during probation.
• Equivalent Qualification: Government-recognised equivalent or higher qualifications can be accepted when Kerala PSC asks for proof.
• Probation: You must complete 2 years of duty within a continuous period of 3 years and pass the departmental test required for probation.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 50 years old.
• The age range already reflects the recruitment rule for this NCA Security Officer notification.
• You must be born between 02 January 1976 and 01 January 2008, including both dates.
• Differently abled candidates cannot apply for this post as per the notification.

Salary

• Pay scale: Rs. 55,200 to Rs. 1,15,300 per month.
• You will also get allowances as per Kerala Government/university rules, wherever applicable.
• The probation period is 2 years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.

Selection Process

The selection will be handled through the Kerala PSC recruitment process for Category No. 38/2026.

2. Written/OMR/Online Test, if conducted: If a test is announced, you must confirm through your One Time Registration profile within the period shown in the exam calendar.
3. Admission Ticket: Candidates who confirm can download the admission ticket in the last 15 days before the test.
4. Document Verification: You must produce original documents for degree, age, community, ex-serviceman status, and other claims when called.
5. Ranked List and Appointment: The ranked list will remain valid until advice and appointment are made against the 1 E/T/B vacancy carried under this NCA notification.
6. Profile Messages: If Kerala PSC asks for documents through your profile, upload them within the given time or you may not be considered for the next stage.

2. Complete One Time Registration if you do not already have a Kerala PSC profile.
3. Log in with your User ID and password.
4. Find the Security Officer notification under Category No. 38/2026.
5. Click Apply Now, check your profile details, and submit the application online.
6. Keep a printout or soft copy of the submitted application for future Kerala PSC communication.
7. Add Aadhaar as ID proof in your profile if you have an Aadhaar card.
8. If you create a new profile, upload a photograph taken within the last 6 months, with your name and photo date printed clearly at the bottom.
9. Corrections made in your profile after the last date will not reflect in this application, so check degree, community, age, and service details before submission.
