Kerala HC Registrar Recruitment 2026: Overview
High Court of Kerala is recruiting a Registrar for Protocol and Security Control at its Kochi establishment on a term appointment. The court is looking for a senior ex-serviceman who can bring command experience, disciplined coordination and public-facing judgement to a role that connects judicial administration with protocol, liaison and protective arrangements. The position is designed for an officer-level military background, with civilian academic preparation that supports formal communication and institutional work.
This role is wider than routine security supervision. You would help the court manage official visits, ceremonial requirements, access arrangements and coordination with government or police agencies while maintaining the discretion expected in a constitutional institution. A strong application should make your rank, service record and exposure to protocol or public relations easy to understand, particularly if you have handled high-level visits, liaison assignments, major events or sensitive facilities.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Term appointment: The initial engagement is for three years and may be extended up to five years if your service is found suitable.
- Ranked list: The list will normally remain effective for at least one year and may continue until a fresh list is published or two years pass, whichever happens earlier.
- Shortlisting: The High Court may set additional benchmarks based on experience, qualifications, protocol and liaison exposure, and awards for excellence.
- Certificate recognition: If your degree was awarded by a university outside Kerala, keep a recognition certificate from a university in Kerala ready for verification.
- Original verification: Your admission remains provisional until the court checks the original records supporting age, rank, education and experience.
- Accuracy: Any false statement, missing material fact or unsupported claim can cancel your candidature and may affect service even after appointment.
- Court discretion: The High Court may modify or cancel the recruitment and its decisions on eligibility and shortlisting are final.
Application Submission Notes
You need an active profile on the High Court of Kerala recruitment portal. Applicants who have not used the updated portal must complete its one-time registration and fill the profile before the relevant post becomes available in the dashboard. Check the preview carefully, because submitted details cannot later be edited or replaced.
The portal accepts online payment and also provides a system-generated challan for the permitted offline route. Keep proof that the transaction completed successfully; a bank message alone may not confirm that the portal has recorded it. You do not need to send the printed application or supporting papers to the High Court, but retain the printout and paid challan for reference.
If you are applying from outside India, email your location and public IP address to recruitment.hckerala@nic.in so the court can provide portal access, and inform the cell again after completing the form. Interview call letters are placed in your profile, with updates normally sent through SMS or email. Check the portal regularly and keep your registered contact details working throughout the recruitment.
