Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), through the College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara, has released a notification for 2 Assistant Professor (Contract) posts in the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry. The appointment is purely provisional for a period of one year or till regular hands are appointed, whichever comes earlier. This is a walk-in interview — no online application is required. Postgraduate candidates in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry with NET qualification can attend directly with their documents.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from a university recognized by Kerala Agricultural University with a minimum of 55% marks, plus NET qualification.
• If NET-qualified candidates are not available: Applicants with a Ph.D or Master's degree in the concerned discipline recognized by Kerala Agricultural University will be considered.
• Desirable: Teaching experience in the concerned discipline.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years as on 01 January 2026.
• Age relaxation: As per existing Government of Kerala rules for eligible categories.

Salary

• Consolidated pay of Rs. 44,100 per month.
• No additional allowances will be paid — this is a fixed consolidated pay for the contract period.

Selection Process

Selection is through a walk-in interview. There is no written exam.

1. Walk-in Interview: Attend the interview on the scheduled date with all original documents and self-attested copies.
2. Document Verification: Certificates proving age, qualification, caste, and experience will be verified at the venue.
