JSSC is hiring 611 graduate-level technical and specialised posts in Jharkhand under the Jharkhand Technical / Special Qualification Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (JTGLCCE) 2026. If you are a graduate (some posts need a Postgraduate degree), aged 21 to 35 years (relaxation for reserved categories), you can apply online. The last date to apply is 30 June 2026. Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released Advertisement No. 01/2026 for 611 regular vacancies across 10 graduate-level posts in different departments of the Government of Jharkhand. The posts cover the Vector Borne Disease Control Programme, Statistics, Dairy, Fisheries, Audit, State Drug Testing Laboratory and physical/chemical sciences. A separate Advertisement No. 02/2026 covers 4 backlog vacancies, and candidates can apply for both with a single fee. Selection is through a two-stage exam — Preliminary + Main (CBT/OMR) — followed by document verification.

  • Bachelor's degree in Dairy Technology / Dairy Science or equivalent

For Fishery Extension Supervisor (Pay Level 6)

  • Graduate in Fishery Science / Zoology (Honours) from a recognised university

For Auditor (Pay Level 5)

  • Graduate in Mathematics / Economics / Commerce / Statistics from a recognised university

For Junior Scientific Assistant, State Drug Testing Lab (Pay Level 5)

  • Graduate or PG in Science / Medicinal or Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Pharmacy / Medicine with specified post-PG laboratory experience, as detailed in the notification

For Laboratory Assistant - Physical Science (Pay Level 5)

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age (as on 01 August 2025):
  • Unreserved / EWS: 35 years
  • BC-I / BC-II (Male): 37 years
  • Women (UR, EWS, BC-I, BC-II): 38 years
  • SC / ST (Male and Female): 40 years
  • PwBD Relaxation: Additional 10 years for all categories (with minimum 40% disability)
  • Ex-Servicemen: Additional 5 years
  • Only one of the PwBD or Ex-Servicemen relaxations can be claimed

Salary

  • Pay Level 7: Rs. 44,900 – Rs. 1,42,400 per month (Assistant Entomologist, Assistant Vector Borne Disease Control Officer)
  • Pay Level 6: Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400 per month (Inspector, Block Statistical Supervisor, Dairy Technical Officer, Fishery Extension Supervisor)
  • Pay Level 5: Rs. 29,200 – Rs. 92,300 per month (Auditor, Junior Scientific Assistant, Laboratory Assistant)
  • You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Government of Jharkhand rules

Application Fee

  • SC / ST of Jharkhand only: Rs. 50
  • Persons with Benchmark Disability (40% or more) of Jharkhand: No fee

Selection Process

Selection takes place in three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination (CBT/OMR): Common screening test in Computer-Based or OMR format with multiple-choice questions. Used to shortlist candidates for the Main Exam.
  2. Main Examination (CBT/OMR): Subject-specific written examination based on the qualifications for each post. There is negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
  3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates submit original certificates, mark sheets and category proofs for verification.

The exam will be conducted in Hindi and English. A single exam cycle will cover both Advt 01/2026 and Advt 02/2026.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the duties of the assigned post in the relevant Jharkhand Government department (Health, Statistics, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Audit or Drug Testing Lab)
  • Conduct field inspections, surveys and laboratory tests as required by the post
  • Maintain records, registers, lab logs and submit periodic reports to the supervising officer
  • Implement government schemes and disease/quality control programmes at the block, district or state level
  • Coordinate with block, district and state officers for data collection, audit and verification
  • Follow standard operating procedures and Jharkhand Government rules in all work
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff and field workers as assigned
  • Carry out any other duty entrusted by the controlling authority within the scope of the post

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Graduate (Bachelor's degree) from a recognised university in the subject relevant to the post. Some posts require Postgraduate degree or Honours degree.

Preferred Qualification

Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject and Jharkhand domicile

Required Skills

Subject-specific technical knowledge, basic computer literacy, record-keeping, field/lab work, Hindi and English proficiency

Exam Pattern
