Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), an autonomous institution under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has announced recruitment for 3 Junior Admin Assistant posts at its campus in Jakkur, Bengaluru. - Regular JNCASR Staff: Age relaxation as per Government of India norms.
Salary
- Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month under Level 2 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
- You will also get DA, HRA, Transport Allowance and other admissible allowances as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process
The selection will be done through a Computer-Based Online Test conducted in Bengaluru. The question paper will be in English only.
- Part A - General Aptitude Test (40 marks): Covers Logical Reasoning (15 questions), Numerical Reasoning (5 questions), Verbal Reasoning (15 questions), and General Awareness (5 questions). Each question carries 1 mark.
- Part B - Skill Test (60 marks): Covers Computer Applications and Fundamentals (10 questions) and Knowledge of Government of India Rules (50 questions). Each question carries 1 mark. This part is qualifying in nature and is evaluated only for candidates who clear Part A.
- Document Verification: Top scorers in Part B are selected against each category, followed by verification of original certificates and documents.
Note: Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Total duration is 120 minutes for 100 MCQ questions.

Exam Pattern
The Computer-Based Online Test has 100 MCQ questions for 100 marks. You will get 2 hours (120 minutes) to complete it. The test is conducted in Bengaluru only and the question paper is in English only.

- General Awareness: 5 questions (5 marks) — Current affairs, Indian history, geography, constitution, scientific research
Part B - Skill Test (60 Marks) — Qualifying
- Computer Applications & Fundamentals (MS Office, Excel): 10 questions (10 marks) — RAM, ROM, file system, operating system, MS Office, IT Act, digital signatures, e-governance
- Knowledge of Government of India Rules: 50 questions (50 marks) — FR/SR, GFR, pension rules, income tax, GST, RTI, CCS CCA rules, CCS conduct rules
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
