Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bengaluru is conducting a walk-in written test for Graduate Apprenticeship Training (GAPP) under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). If you have completed an Engineering/Technology degree on or after 1 July 2022 in one of 14 eligible disciplines and belong to the Southern Region, you can attend the walk-in test between 6 and 8 August 2026 at BEL's Centre for Learning & Development, Bengaluru. Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is a Navaratna Public Sector company under the Ministry of Defence, and its Bengaluru complex is engaging engineering graduates for a one-year Apprenticeship Training under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), through the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BoAT), Southern Region, Chennai. BEL describes itself as India's premier professional electronics company, running a multi-unit, multi-product operation for the defence and public sectors. No online application is required — eligible candidates simply walk in with their original documents on the scheduled test date for their discipline. This is a good opportunity for fresh engineering graduates from the Southern states to gain hands-on industry experience at a leading defence PSU, straight after graduation.

Who Can Apply?

You are eligible if you hold an Engineering or Technology degree completed on or after 1 July 2022 from a recognized Board/University, in one of the disciplines below. Your written test date and time depend on your discipline:

• Domicile: Only candidates from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and Puducherry (Southern Region) can apply.
• Minimum marks: 60% and above in graduation for General/OBC candidates; 50% and above for SC/ST candidates.
• You are not eligible if you have already done, or are currently doing, NATS apprenticeship at any other organisation, or if you hold or are pursuing a higher qualification than your engineering degree.
• This is a fresher-focused opportunity — the apprenticeship is meant for recent graduates entering the workforce for the first time, not for candidates with an existing higher degree or prior NATS experience.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 25 years.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC candidates get 3 years, and Persons with Disabilities get 10 years.

Salary

• You get a monthly stipend of Rs. 17,500 during the one-year training period — Rs. 13,000 paid by BEL and Rs. 4,500 paid by the Government through Direct Beneficiary Transfer (DBT).
• Canteen and transport facilities are available on a chargeable basis.
• You get free OPD medical facility at the BEL hospital and a free Group Personal Accident Insurance cover of Rs. 5 lakh.

Selection Process (Written Test Only)

Selection is purely based on merit in the written test:

1. Walk-in Written Test: Held on 6, 7 or 8 August 2026 depending on your discipline, at BEL's Centre for Learning & Development, Bengaluru.
2. Merit List: Candidates are ranked purely by the marks scored in the written test.
3. Result Intimation: Only selected candidates are informed by email.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC candidates is as per statutory norms. Keep checking your email after the test, since BEL only contacts shortlisted candidates directly — there is no separate results webpage mentioned in the notification.

How to Apply

1. Check the eligible discipline list and your scheduled test date and time above.
2. Reach the Centre for Learning & Development (CLD), BEL, Jalahalli Post, Bengaluru - 560013 on your scheduled date.
3. Carry your original SSLC/10th marks card, degree certificate or provisional degree certificate, Aadhaar card, and SC/ST/OBC/Divyang certificate (if applicable).
4. Appear for the written test — there is no separate online application to fill.
