JKSSB Advance Notice for Conduct of Examinations 2026

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued an advance notice informing candidates of the tentative dates for OMR-based written examinations, skill tests, and Physical Endurance/Standard Tests (PET/PST). The schedule covers posts notified under Notification No. 07 of 2025 (Health & Medical Education), Notification No. 08 of 2025 (Junior Assistant, Stenographer posts), Notification No. 04 of 2025 (Website Operator), and Notifications 03 of 2021 and 04 of 2022 (Forest & Ecology). Who Can Apply?

This is only an exam schedule notice — fresh applications are not invited. Only candidates who have already applied under the listed notifications (07 of 2025, 08 of 2025, 04 of 2025, 03 of 2021, 04 of 2022) are eligible to appear in these exams.

• Domicile: You must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as per the original notifications.
• Application Status: Your application against the relevant notification must have already been submitted within the original deadline.

Selection Process

The selection follows the process laid out in each original notification. The exam types covered in this advance notice are:

1. OMR-Based Written Examination: Used for the 15 Health & Medical Education posts listed in Annexure A.
2. Skill Test (Typing Test): Used for Website Operator and Junior Assistant.
3. Skill Test (Short-Hand): Used for Junior Scale Stenographer and Junior Stenographer.
4. Physical Endurance Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST): Used for Forest & Ecology posts.
5. Document Verification: Conducted after each test stage for shortlisted candidates.

How to Apply / Download Admit Card

1. Visit the official JKSSB website at jkssb.nic.in.
2. Click on the relevant notice for your post.
3. Download your Admit Card using your registration number and date of birth.
4. Admit cards will be released 7 days before the exam date.
5. Carry the admit card and a valid photo ID to the exam centre.

• Appear for the OMR-based written exam on the date assigned to your post
• Download admit card 7 days before the exam date from jkssb.nic.in
• Carry valid photo ID and admit card to the exam centre
• Reach the exam centre at least 1 hour before reporting time
• Follow exam centre rules, dress code, and prohibited-items list
• Complete document verification when called after the written exam
• Track JKSSB website regularly for date revisions and result updates
