About This Job
The District Court, Jharsuguda (Odisha) is engaging Group-D staff on a daily-wage basis to support the courts and offices of the Judgeship until regular Group-D recruitment is completed. If you have passed at least Class 7 (M.E. standard) and can read and write Odia, you can apply. This is a purely temporary engagement paid at Rs. 462 per day. This is an offline application and the last date is 19 June 2026 (5:00 PM).
District Court, Jharsuguda Group D Recruitment 2026
The District Court, Jharsuguda has issued Notice No. 02 dated 19 May 2026 to engage persons on a daily-wage basis to do Group-D work in the courts and offices of the Judgeship of Jharsuguda. This engagement is purely temporary and can be ended at any time. It is meant to fill the gap until permanent Group-D staff are appointed under the Odisha District & Subordinate Courts Group-D Employees Rules, 2021. The engagement gives no right to claim a regular appointment later.
Who Can Apply?
- You must be a citizen of India.
- You must have passed at least the M.E. standard (Class 7) exam from a recognised institution.
- You must be able to speak, read and write Odia.
- You should have elementary knowledge of English.
- You must be of good character, sound health and free from any bodily defect.
Age Limit
- You must be between 18 and 32 years of age as on 19 June 2026.
Salary
- You will be paid daily wages of Rs. 462 per day (Unskilled Category), as fixed by the Government of Odisha.
- The daily wage rate may be revised from time to time by the Odisha Government.
Selection Process

- Keep court rooms and office spaces clean and ready
- Deliver letters, notices and dak within the court complex
- Assist court staff with day-to-day routine work
- Open and close court rooms and offices as instructed
- Help in arranging case records and registers
