About This Job
The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) is filling 104 posts across its benches all over India on a deputation/absorption basis. These posts are open only to serving government officers from the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Courts, Tribunals, or statutory bodies. The pay ranges from Rs. 19,900 per month (Staff Car Driver) up to Rs. 2,15,900 per month (Joint Registrar). The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has released a notification (File No. 10/121/2016-NCLT(Pt.VI), dated 21 May 2026) to fill 13 different posts at its benches in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Indore, Chandigarh, Allahabad, Amaravati, Cuttack, Jaipur, Kochi, and Guwahati. These are deputation/absorption posts — so you must already be a regular government employee to apply. Who Can Apply?
You must be a serving officer in the Central Government, a State Government, a Union Territory, a Court, a Tribunal, or a statutory body, and meet the conditions for the post you want.
Joint Registrar (Level-13)
- Holding an analogous post on regular basis, OR Level-12 with 5 years service, OR Level-11 with 10 years service.
- You need a degree in law plus experience in personnel and administrative matters.
Deputy Registrar (Level-12) and Assistant Registrar (Level-11)
- A degree in law from a recognised university with experience in administrative, establishment, or court matters.
- Deputy Registrar: Level-11 with 5 years service. Assistant Registrar: Level 9/10 with 5 years, Level-8 with 6 years, or Level-7 with 7 years.
Programmer (Level-9)
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or IT, or MCA from a recognised institute, with Level-8 (2 years) or Level-7 (3 years) service.
Court Officer (Level-8)
- Preferably a law degree with experience in administrative or court matters; Level-7 (2 years) or Level-6 (6 years) service.
Private Secretary (Level-8) and Stenographer Grade-I/PA (Level-6)
- Private Secretary: skill of dictation @ 110 WPM (English) and transcription @ 55 WPM on computer.
- Stenographer Grade-I/PA: dictation @ 100 WPM (English) and transcription @ 50 WPM on computer.
Senior Legal Assistant (Level-7)
- A law degree with Level-6 (5 years) or Level-5 (8 years) service.
Assistant (Level-6), Record Assistant & Upper Division Clerk (Level-4)
- Assistant: knowledge of computer operation with Level-5 (6 years) or Level-4 (10 years) service.
- Record Assistant / UDC: Level-2 with 8 years regular service.
Cashier (Level-4) and Staff Car Driver (Level-2)
- Cashier: Level-3 (5 years) or Level-2 (8 years) with cash and accounts training.
- Staff Car Driver: 10th pass, valid driving licence for motor cars, knowledge of motor mechanism, and at least 3 years of driving experience.
Age Limit
- Maximum age for deputation is 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
- The period of deputation will normally not exceed three years.

- Deputy Registrar: Level-12, Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month

Selection Process
Since these are deputation/absorption posts, there is no written exam. Selection works like this:
