Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: You must have passed at least +3 (graduation) or an equivalent exam from a recognised university.
- Computer: You must have a Diploma in Computer Application from a recognised institute.
- Odia Language: You must be able to read, write, and speak Odia, and have passed a test in Odia at least at the M.E. standard.
Extra Requirement for Junior Typist
- Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute in English typewriting.
Extra Requirement for Stenographer Grade-III
- Shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and English typing speed of 40 words per minute.
Age Limit
- You must be over 18 years and below 42 years of age as on 17 June 2026.
- Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved categories (SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-servicemen/PwD) as per Odisha Government rules.
Salary
- Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist & Junior Typist: Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month (Pay Level-4, ORSP Rules 2017)
- Stenographer Grade-III: Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month (Pay Level-7, ORSP Rules 2017)
- Plus DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Odisha Government rules.

Selection Process
Selection is done through a written test and skill tests:
- Written Test: Subject papers like English, Arithmetic, and General Knowledge (varies by post).
- Skill Test: Typewriting test (for Junior Typist) or Shorthand & Typewriting test (for Stenographer Grade-III).
- Computer Science Test (Practical): Tests your skills in text formatting, file handling, internet, email, and accounting software.
- Viva-Voce Test: Assesses your alertness, general outlook, and suitability for the post.

Responsibilities
- Handle file processing, copying, and maintain court records
- Type letters, judgments, orders, and official documents in English
- Take shorthand dictation and transcribe it accurately (for Stenographer)
- Enter and manage data in court computer systems
- Assist judicial officers with day-to-day administrative work
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence of the court
- Keep registers and case files updated and organised
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
+3 (graduation) or equivalent from a recognised university, plus Diploma in Computer Application
Preferred Qualification
Typewriting/Stenography certificate from a recognised institute
