Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), through ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), Bengaluru, has released Advertisement No. ISTRAC:01:2026 for apprenticeship training during 2026-2027. The notice covers Graduate Apprentices, Diploma Apprentices, Diploma in Commercial Practice and Trade ITI apprentices under the Apprentices Act.

This is a single official advertisement covering all active apprentice seats in the PDF. Selection is based on screening, document verification/interview, academic scores and interview performance, so there is no written examination pattern in the notice.

The training seats are spread across Bengaluru, Lucknow and Sri Vijaya Puram. If you want to apply for the same post code at more than one centre, the notice says you should send the same details to each relevant centre email ID; requests to change the interview or posting location will not be considered later.

Who Can Apply?

Graduate Apprentice

• Engineering branches: You need BE/BTech in the concerned discipline from a recognised university.
• BSc CS/IT: You need BSc in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Library Science: You need MLISc.

Diploma Apprentice

• Engineering diploma: You need a Diploma in Engineering awarded by a recognised State Board in the relevant field.
• Commercial Practice: You need Diploma in Commercial Practice for the listed apprentice seat.

Trade ITI

• ITI qualification: You need ITI in the concerned trade from a recognised institute.

Other Eligibility Conditions

• You must have passed the qualifying course in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
• You must register at nats.education.gov.in and mention your NATS enrolment number in the application.
• Only Indian nationals can apply.
• Previous apprentices, current apprentices, and candidates with one year or more job experience as on joining are not eligible.
• Only candidates who completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates can apply.
• Sandwich courses, private degrees, short-term certificate courses and candidates pursuing higher studies such as BE/BTech after Diploma or ME/MTech after Graduation are not accepted for this apprenticeship.

Stipend

• Graduate Apprentice: Rs. 12,300 per month
• Diploma Apprentice and Commercial Practice: Rs. 10,900 per month
• Trade ITI Apprentice: Rs. 9,600 per month
• The training period is 12 months from execution of the apprenticeship contract.

Application Fee

• The official ISRO ISTRAC advertisement does not mention any application fee.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through screening, document verification/interview and merit panel preparation.

1. Application Screening: ISTRAC will screen email applications and shortlist candidates.
2. Document Verification/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and interview at the relevant reporting centre.
3. Merit Panel: The panel will be prepared using academic scores in Degree, Diploma or ITI and performance in the interview.
4. Final Induction: Apprentices will be taken strictly based on their position in the panel and available training seats.

No travel allowance is payable for candidates called for document verification or interview.

How to Apply

1. Register yourself on the NATS portal at nats.education.gov.in and get your enrolment number.
2. Choose the correct post code, discipline and training location from the ISRO ISTRAC advertisement.
3. Prepare email attachments for your final Degree, Diploma or ITI certificate. If the certificate is awaited, attach your final year or semester marksheet.
4. Attach your Class X and Pre-University marks cards or certificates, and include your NATS enrolment number.
5. Write the post code in the email subject, such as Application for Post Code: GA02.
6. For Bengaluru, send the application to apprmt_blr@istrac.gov.in.
7. For Lucknow, send the application to apprmt_lko@istrac.gov.in.
8. For Sri Vijaya Puram, send the application to apprmt_ixz@istrac.gov.in.

• Assist ISTRAC teams in engineering, technical, library, commercial practice or trade work as assigned
• Follow mentor instructions during the one-year apprenticeship training period
• Maintain training records, task notes and basic technical documentation
• Support routine operations at Bengaluru, Lucknow or Sri Vijaya Puram training centres
• Work safely with tools, systems, equipment and office processes related to the trade
• Attend document verification, interview and onboarding steps as instructed by ISTRAC
• Complete the apprenticeship contract and training requirements under the Apprentices Act
