The U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), ISRO's leading centre for satellite technology in Bengaluru, Karnataka, has released Advertisement No. URSC:03:2026 to engage 410 apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for one year of training. The opportunity spans 3 streams — Graduate Apprenticeship across 8 engineering disciplines, Technician Apprenticeship across 7 diploma disciplines, and Commercial Practice Apprenticeship. There is no written exam or interview — selection is based purely on your academic percentage and document verification. This is a great chance for recent B.E./B.Tech and Diploma holders to get hands-on training at one of India's premier space research centres. The apprenticeship period is 12 months from the date you sign the apprenticeship contract, and selected apprentices will have no claim to future employment at URSC or any other ISRO/Department of Space centre after completing their training.

Who Can Apply?

For Graduate Apprenticeship (B.E./B.Tech - Rs. 12,300/month):

• B.E./B.Tech in the concerned discipline from any recognized University

For Technician Apprenticeship (Diploma - Rs. 10,900/month):

• Diploma in the respective engineering discipline from a recognized State Board

For Commercial Practice Apprenticeship (Diploma - Rs. 10,900/month):

• Diploma in Commercial Practice from a recognized Board

Common conditions for all streams:

• Only candidates who passed their qualifying exam in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible. Those who passed before 2021 are not eligible.
• You must not have already undergone, or currently be undergoing, apprenticeship training elsewhere, and must not have 1 or more years of work experience.
• Only Indian nationals can apply.
• Candidates with sandwich courses, private college degrees, or short-term/certificate courses are not acceptable.
• Your Aadhaar number must be linked to your bank account and enabled for DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) so your stipend can be credited.
• You can submit only one application per email ID — duplicate applications from multiple email IDs will not be considered, and only your latest application for a discipline is taken into account.

Salary

• Graduate Apprentices (B.E./B.Tech): monthly stipend of Rs. 12,300.
• Technician & Commercial Practice Apprentices (Diploma): monthly stipend of Rs. 10,900.
• This is a fixed monthly stipend under the Apprentices Act, 1961 — not a regular government pay scale.

Selection Process

There is no written exam and no interview for this recruitment. Selection is based purely on academic merit:

1. Registration: Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.
2. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their percentage of marks in the relevant discipline.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called to verify their original certificates.
4. Merit Panel: A panel is drawn up using your academic scores in Degree/Diploma/Commercial Practice.
5. Final Selection: Apprentices are inducted strictly based on their position in the panel, against the vacant posts. Selected candidates are informed only by email.

Candidates shortlisted for document verification are not eligible for Travelling Allowance. You will need to upload scanned photograph and signature (each up to 50 KB, in JPG/JPEG/PNG format) along with your Degree/Diploma marks memo and certificate (each up to 1 MB) during registration. URSC also reserves the right to cancel or alter the number of vacancies in any discipline, or the entire engagement process, without assigning any reason.

How to Apply

1. Go to the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in and register yourself.
2. Upload your Degree/Diploma certificate and a valid government-issued photo ID.
3. Make sure your Aadhaar number is linked to your bank account and enabled for DBT payment.
4. After NATS registration, go to the UMANG portal and log in.
5. Search for "URSC Apprenticeship", fill in your NATS enrolment number, and complete the application form.
6. Upload your mark sheets and certificates in JPG/JPEG/PNG format and submit.
