ILBS FibroScan Technician Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), an autonomous institute of the Government of NCT of Delhi and a deemed university, is hiring a FibroScan Technician through a walk-in interview. The post sits under the Y-SMilES project (Young-Stronger India through a Million Health Educated Students), run by the Department of Clinical Research & Epidemiology at the Vasant Kunj campus in New Delhi.

This is a project-based, purely temporary job that runs until the project ends in March 2027. Your main work will be doing FibroScan (liver elastography) scans during health screening camps, so the role suits a lab technician who already has hands-on FibroScan experience and does not mind travelling.

The biggest point to note: the job involves extensive travel across India for project camps and field visits. If you want a fixed desk job in Delhi, think carefully before you walk in.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The post is purely temporary and lasts only till the project ends in March 2027. Continuation depends on your performance and on project funds.
• Probation: The first three months are a probation period.
• Travel: You must be ready for extensive Pan-India travel for screening camps and field visits.
• Desirable training: A certified training course in FibroScan operation and liver elastography will give you an edge, though it is not compulsory.
• No travel allowance: ILBS will not pay any TA/DA for attending the interview.
• Institute's rights: ILBS can cancel the post or leave it unfilled and can reject applications without giving reasons.
