ILBS Consultant Grade IV Recruitment 2026: Overview

Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), an autonomous super-specialty institute under the Government of NCT of Delhi and a deemed university recognised by the UGC, is filling Consultant Grade IV faculty posts at its Vasant Kunj, New Delhi campus. ILBS focuses on the liver, gall bladder and pancreato-biliary diseases, and combines patient care with teaching and research.

This round covers three specialities that support the institute's liver programme: imaging, genetics and nuclear medicine. All three are contract posts, not regular faculty appointments. If you are a specialist doctor who wants to work in a dedicated liver hospital with a strong research culture, this is worth a look.

Posts and Disciplines

• Consultant (Radiology) Grade IV: post code Cons/06/Radio, for specialists in radiology and imaging.
• Consultant (Clinical Genetics) Grade IV: post code Cons/06/Cl. Gene, for specialists in clinical genetics.
• Consultant (Nuclear Medicine) Grade IV: post code Cons/06/Nuc. Med., for specialists in nuclear medicine.

All three posts are unreserved (UR). The exact qualification and experience for each speciality are set by the ILBS Recruitment Rules, published on the Recruitment Rules page under Career Opportunities on the ILBS website; read them before you apply.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The appointment is on contract for one year. Either side can end it with at least three months' written notice or pay in lieu of notice.
• Vacancy can change: ILBS may change the vacancy at any time or decide not to fill a post, and no appeal is entertained. A post may also be removed from the website once it is filled.
• Shortlisting: A Screening Committee checks every application against the Recruitment Rules, and ILBS can limit interview calls to candidates with qualifications and experience above the minimum.
• OBC certificate: For any post reserved for OBC, only an OBC certificate issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi is accepted.
• Disability benefit: Only candidates with at least 40% of the relevant disability get the PwD reservation benefit.
• Joining and conduct: Joining date and other terms follow the ILBS HR policy. Canvassing in any form disqualifies you, and any legal dispute falls under Delhi/New Delhi courts only.
