Jal Shakti Vibhag (JSV), Himachal Pradesh is filling Para Cook and Para Helper posts through its Jal Shakti Division at Reckong Peo in Kinnaur district. Post-wise Duties

Para Cook

You will handle the cooking at the department's rest houses and inspection huts and take on other work linked to their running that the concerned officers assign.

Para Helper

You will help with the upkeep and daily running of the rest houses and inspection huts and do the tasks the concerned officers assign.

Both posts work 6 hours a day and fill a quarterly self-reporting format that goes to the Junior Engineer concerned.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Honorarium, not regular pay: These posts stay honorarium-based, are not part of the department's cadre and give you no right to claim regularisation.
• Local residence: You must be a Bonafide Himachali and a permanent resident of the area under Jal Shakti Circle, Reckong Peo.
• Family employment bar: No member of your family should hold any Government, PSU or Board job. You attach a non-employment certificate as proof.
• Clean record and fitness: You must never have been involved in any criminal act, and you must be medically fit and of sound mind.
• Merit scoring: The selection committee scores you out of 10 marks, with your matriculation percentage counting for half and a skill test for both posts.
• Annual review: At the end of every financial year, a consolidated report on your work goes for community certification of satisfactory work and conduct, which is sent to the Superintending Engineer.
• Termination: Poor performance can end the engagement, but only after at least three notices on a specific charge, written reasons and countersignature by the Assistant Engineer.
