IITK Research Associate III Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is hiring a Research Associate III for the GPCR Biology laboratory in its Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE). The lab is led by Dr. Arun K Shukla, and the selected candidate will join the lab's project team on the Kanpur campus.

This is a temporary project position, not a regular faculty or staff post. It suits a Ph.D. holder in the life sciences who has already spent serious time at the bench with proteins, cell culture and cell signalling work. Structural biology experience is a plus, but not a must.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: the appointment is for one year at first and can be extended on performance until the project ends.
• Experience works as a filter: applicants who do not meet both the minimum qualification and the desirable work experience will not be called for interview. Make sure your CV clearly shows your protein biochemistry and molecular biology work.
• Structural biology: hands-on X-ray crystallography or cryo-EM experience is preferred but not essential.
• Interview: shortlisted candidates are interviewed online, and no TA/DA is paid.
