Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is hiring a Project Scientist-II in its Department of Electrical Engineering for the project "Automated System for Cybersecurity Policies, Assessments, Audits, Ranking and Incident Response (IR)", led by Dr. Ankush Sharma. This is the senior technical role on the team: you will architect, build and tune the AI-driven, compliance-aware platform that covers policy management, compliance intelligence, ranking and incident response. A Project Associate-I joins the same project under your guidance.

Your work splits into two areas. On the backend and API side, you design microservices in Python (FastAPI/Django) and Node.js, secure the data with encryption and access control, and wire in AI/LLM models for the compliance and ranking pipelines. On the DevOps and quality side, you own CI/CD, testing, and deployment with Docker and Kubernetes on both cloud and on-premises setups. Researchers from industry labs or academic institutes who have shipped production-grade systems fit this post well.
