The Office of Industrial Consultancy and Sponsored Research (IC&SR), Indian Institute of Technology Madras, has released notification Advt.95/2026 for 2 Project Engineer posts in the Department of Aerospace Engineering. This is a purely contract-based role, initially for one year and extendable based on performance. The work involves motion control systems, embedded electronics, and system-level integration for aerospace and robotics actuation projects.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a 4-year undergraduate engineering degree (B.E./B.Tech).
• Required skills: Hands-on experience with motors, drives, and motion control systems, plus embedded programming in C/C++ and MATLAB Simulink (Simscape & Multibody).
• Useful experience: PCB design, encoder and feedback systems, embedded electronics debugging, power optimisation, and integration of mechanical and control systems.
• Added advantage: Experience in aerospace or robotics actuation systems, real-time control, and HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing.
• Nationality: You must be a citizen of India (special rules apply for migrants from Pakistan and subjects of Nepal).

Salary

• You will get a salary between Rs. 21,500 and Rs. 75,000 per month depending on your qualification and experience.

Selection Process

The selection is done in these stages:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on the information given in the online application.
2. Skill Test / Written Test: The Institute decides the mode of screening and testing.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview.
4. Document Verification: You must produce your original documents and a printout of your application.
