Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) Manager Facility Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Office of Industrial Consultancy and Sponsored Research (IC&SR), IIT Madras has released notification under Advertisement No. ICSR/PR/Advt.83/2026 for the temporary post of Manager - Facility at the School of Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The role is initially for six months, with extension based on performance. Retired Army Officers and Ex-Servicemen with strong leadership skills are preferred for this position that oversees facility operations at the Innovation Hub.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have any UG (Undergraduate) degree from a recognised university.
• Experience: You need at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred Profile: Retired Army Officers or Ex-Servicemen with leadership experience and strong attention to detail.
• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.

Salary

• You will get a salary between Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 50,000 per month, based on your qualifications and experience.
• The position is purely on contract basis for an initial period of six months, extendable based on performance.

Selection Process

Selection is done in the following stages:

1. Application Screening: Based on qualification, experience and preferred profile match.
2. Test / Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a test or interview. The Institute decides the mode of screening.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates verified at the time of test/interview.

• Maintain the entire building, labs, offices and common areas in clean and safe condition
• Oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and civil works at the Innovation Hub
• Plan and execute monthly and annual Preventive Maintenance Plans for HVAC, DG sets, lifts, pumps and fire panels
• Respond immediately to breakdowns and coordinate with electrical, A/C and civil teams
• Manage contracts with security, housekeeping and AMC vendors and review SLAs
• Implement fire safety protocols, conduct fire drills and monthly safety audits
• Supervise parking area, CCTV and visitor management at the campus
• Submit daily facility status reports and maintain organised records of contracts and audits
