IIT Indore Research Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) is hiring a Research Associate / Post Doctoral Fellow for a research project in its Department of Mathematics. The project is funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under grant no. ANRF/ECRG/2024/002168/PMS.

The project studies "Analysis of some mathematical systems modelling heat transfer between two Navier-Stokes-Fourier fluids separated by an elastic interface". This is a project-based contract, so it suits you if you have a PhD in mathematics, a good publication record and a strong grip on the analysis of partial differential equations.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The appointment is initially for seven months. It can be extended depending on the availability of funds and your performance.
• Thesis submitted: If you have submitted your PhD thesis but not yet received the degree, you can still apply, provided you suit the project.
• Research background: The notice looks for a very strong background in parabolic and hyperbolic evolution equations. Experience with Navier-Stokes equations and related models will get preference.
• Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates are called for the interview, which is planned in online mode. Selected candidates are informed by email.
• No travel allowance: No TA/DA is paid for appearing in the interview.
