The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) is recruiting for the post of Operations Manager at its SATHI-CISCoM centre (Centre for In-Situ and Correlative Microscopy). SATHI-CISCoM is a testing facility set up as a Section 8 company under the Indian Companies Act 2013 and funded by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. This is a contract post for an initial period of 1 year, which can be extended based on your performance. It is a non-technical role focused on training, outreach, partnerships, and ecosystem development, so it suits you if you enjoy coordination and stakeholder engagement rather than lab work. SATHI-CISCoM is planned as a first-of-its-kind facility that enables real-time characterisation across multiple length scales for both fundamental and industrial research, and it is backed by 15 academic, research, and industrial organisations along with IIT Hyderabad. In this role, you will help this new centre grow its user base and build lasting partnerships across academia, industry, and government.

Who Can Apply?

You can apply if you meet one of these qualification paths:

• Option 1: M.Tech / M.Sc / M.S. in Science or Engineering, OR a Master's degree, with experience in research facilities, technology services, operations, or scientific organisations.
• Option 2: An MBA with experience in operations management, business development, facility management, or technology-driven service organisations.

Experience You Need

• Experience in managing training programmes, outreach, or institutional collaborations in academic, research, or technology settings.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-engagement skills across academia, industry, and government.

Prior experience with government agencies such as DST or multi-institutional projects is an added advantage.

Age Limit

• Your age should be up to 40 years as on the last date of application (15 July 2026).

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 60,000 per month, based on your qualifications and experience.
• You may also earn a performance-linked incentive based on training programmes conducted, outreach activities, and new partnerships (subject to fund availability and approval).
• Health centre facilities for self-use are available as per IIT Hyderabad rules for project staff.

Selection Process

The selection is based on an interview. There is no written exam.

1. Shortlisting: A screening committee will shortlist candidates based on their qualifications and experience.
2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by email for an interview. The interview date and mode will be shared at least one week in advance.

Meeting the minimum qualification alone does not guarantee shortlisting. Only post-qualification experience will be counted.
