IIT Guwahati DPIIT IPR Chair Project Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) has released a notification for 3 project posts under the DPIIT IPR Chair at the Department of Research & Development (R&D). The selection is purely through a hybrid interview — you can choose to appear either offline or online. There is no written exam. Candidates with a Ph.D., postgraduate, or graduate degree can apply based on the post.

• Qualification: Graduate degree in any stream

Other Requirements

• If you are already employed under any Central/State Government, PSU, Autonomous Body, or Private Organisation, you must submit a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from your current employer at the time of the interview. Without the NOC, you will not be allowed to appear.

Salary

• Research Officer: Rs. 67,000 per month (consolidated)
• Research Assistant: Rs. 57,000 per month (consolidated)
• Secretarial Assistant: Rs. 15,000 per month (consolidated)
• HRA and Medical are not paid separately — the figures above are the total amount you will receive each month.
• Duration: 3 months from the date of joining

Selection Process

Selection is based purely on a Hybrid Interview — there is no written exam.

1. Hybrid Interview: You can choose to appear either offline at IIT Guwahati or online, based on your convenience. The interview is scheduled for 28 May 2026 (Thursday) at 11:00 AM.
2. Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be informed via email.
3. Final selection is based on your performance in the interview.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. No campus accommodation will be provided to selected candidates.
