IIT Guwahati Project Officer Recruitment 2026 — 1 Post

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) has invited applications for the post of Project Officer in a project titled Pandit Hemchandra Mission for Popularization of Science and Assamese Culture. The position is based at the Center for Indian Knowledge Systems (CIKS) on the IIT Guwahati campus. This is an 11-month contract position under the Research and Development Section. Those with fluency in Assamese, Hindi, and English and experience in STEM education will have an added advantage.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: You must have a Ph.D in Engineering from a recognised university or institute.
• Desirable: Fluency in Assamese, Hindi, and English is preferred. Experience in STEM education will be an added advantage.

Salary

• Fixed pay of Rs. 55,000 per month
• House Rent Allowance (HRA): 16% of Basic Pay (Rs. 8,800 per month)
• Total monthly compensation: approximately Rs. 63,800 per month
• Note: No medical facility is provided for this post

Selection Process

Selection is based entirely on the interview performance:

2. Offline Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an in-person interview at the CIKS office, IIT Guwahati on 22 April 2026 at 10:00 AM.
