Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) has released Advt No. IITG/R/02/2026 for the post of Junior Technician in the Institute Property Management (IPM) Division. Who Can Apply?

You need an ITI Certificate in Electrician Trade with at least 3 years of experience in operating electrical substations and DG sets. You must also have knowledge of computer applications.

Age Limit: You must be between 18 and 27 years old as on 9 March 2026.

• SC/ST candidates get 5 years age relaxation
• OBC candidates get 3 years age relaxation
• PwBD candidates get 10 years age relaxation

Salary

The post carries pay in Level 3 of 7th CPC, which means a monthly salary of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100. You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central Government norms.

• SC/ST/Women/PwBD candidates: No fee

Selection Process

The selection will be done through a Written Exam followed by a Skill Test. The detailed exam pattern and syllabus will be announced on the IIT Guwahati website. Please note that no TA/DA will be given for appearing in the tests.
