These are purely temporary contract posts for 11 months, which may be extended for two more terms of 11 months each based on your performance. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must have a 3-year Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University/Institute.
• You need at least 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA in the diploma.
• You must have minimum 2 years of relevant field experience.
• If you have a higher qualification such as B.E./B.Tech, you are not eligible for these posts.

Experience by Discipline

• Civil: Building maintenance, technical estimates, tender preparation, concrete works, and other site-related civil work.
• Electrical: HT/LT substation maintenance and DG (Diesel Generator) maintenance.
• Mechanical: Maintenance of air conditioning systems.

You must be a citizen of India. Government/PSU employees need to submit an NOC at the time of certificate verification.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 28 years as on the last date of receipt of the application.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated stipend of Rs. 25,000 per month during the contract period.
• Free hostel accommodation may be provided, subject to availability.

Selection Process

Selection is done by IIT Guwahati based on your qualification, experience, and the screening of applications. Shortlisted candidates are called for the next stage:

1. Screening of Applications: Candidates are shortlisted based on diploma marks and relevant field experience.
2. Certificate Verification: You must produce all original certificates and, if you are a Government/PSU employee, an NOC or undertaking.
